Mr. F. Cammarata has been in his current position since the year 2008.

After Nuclear Engineering graduation (five years degree plus two years research project) in 1982, he worked up to 1989 at SNIA-Techint, as Nuclear Engineer and Safety coordinator. Then Mr. Cammarata joined Technip – Technipetrol to cover several positions: Instrumentation and Automation Coordinator, Field Superintendent for the construction of Arak Refinery (Iran) and then Proposal Coordinator. From 1996 to 1999 he became Sales & Marketing Director of Foxboro Italy. Since 1999, as General Manager of Foxboro Scada, he covered many worldwide roles in this new created center of excellence in the Energy T&D field. From 2005 to 2008, inside Invensys, he was the Business Development Director of North Africa.  Finally, on 2008, he joined again Technip as responsible of the North Africa Business Development, including also the management of the office in Libya and the Branch in Egypt. In the past 8 years he has successfully pursed several important and very large projects, both in the off-shore and in the on-shore, for the Oil & Gas upstream, refinery and petrochemical industries in the South Mediterranean Sea zone from Algeria to Cyprus.

Mr. Knobloch began his professional career in 1979 with Esso AG where Mr. Knobloch had job assignments in Germany, Italy and the UK in connection with a large revamp and expansion project at Karlsruhe refinery,


In 1983 Mr. Knobloch joined Uhde GmbH, today called thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG (TKIS).


With Uhde GmbH, Mr. Knobloch focused on global business development and marketing activities. He managed various key accounts in Iran and other countries in the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.


From 1989 to 1992, Mr. Knobloch was seconded to South Africa to build up the Marketing and Sales function of our affiliate company Uhde South Africa Pty.


From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Knobloch was stationed in Houston, Texas as global BD Director of our Global Business Alliance with Parsons Energy & Chemicals and later as General Manager Marketing and Sales of Uhde Corporation of America.


From 2002 to 2009 Mr. Knobloch was in charge of Uhde’s business development division.


This assignment was followed by 4 years in Asia Pacific where Mr. Knobloch took the role of Director Business Development of Uhde Asia Pacific stationed in Bangkok, Thailand.


Upon his return to our head office in Dortmund in July 2013, Mr. Knobloch was initially responsible for the development of TKIS’ Oil & Gas business in cooperation with our international network of companies and our centres of excellence in Australia and the UK.


In October 2016, Mr. Knobloch was assigned to the newly created Business Unit Industrial Specialties as Head of Strategic Business development.


Mr. Andreas Knobloch holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree from Technische Hochschule Aachen in Germany.


Mr Knobloch is married. He has two children.

Since April 1, 2014 Thore Lohmann is responsible for the business of plant engineering specialist thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions in Egypt and is managing the local organization in Cairo with 200 employees. The 46-Year old Chemical engineer started his career at thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions in 1999 in the Oil and Gas Division. After holding various posts, he became the Engineering Manager for large scale petrochemical complex Plant in Mumbai and subsequently the commissioning manager for the Complex in Port Said, Egypt.

From 2011 to 2014, he worked as Head of the Product Development Department in the Gas Technologies Division of the process technologies Business Unit in Germany. Thore Lohmann is living with his family in Cairo.

Dr.Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mctwally

Chairman and CEO of MIDOR (Middle East Oil Refinery)

Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Metwally is one of the senior professionals of the Petroleum Sector in Egypt. He has thirty years of experience in operation, maintenance, and planning systems in oil refineries.

In 1982,Dr.Mohamed graduated from the University of Alexandria with a Bachelor of Sciences  majoring in Chemistry. He has also acquired a high Diploma in Energy Conservation within petroleum refineries in 1986. Dr. Abdel Aziz later on obtained a Master Degree in Air Poll ution within petroleum refineries.and a Doctorate Degree inManaging and Identifying Environmental Hazards related to the petroleum industry from the University of Alexandria i n 1995 and 2001 respect ively.

Dr.Mohamed started his professional career in 1984 as a chemist in Alexandria Petroleum Company. Eventually, his hard work and dedication earned him several promotions and a hefty reputation within the petroleum sector. He was later on nominated to work for EPROM, a company that oversees the operation and mai ntenance of most petroleum projects in Egypt, wherehe also gradually ascended the  ranks un til he became a General Manager  that supervised operations,  maintenance. planning systems and technical support for AMOC (One of E:PROM”s projects).

Thereafter he has participated in:

  • Supervising of the implementation process for raising the efficiency of  de-salter units i n atmospheric distillation units at Alexandria Petroleum Company.
  • Supervising and implementation of the rehabilitation process, and raising the capaci ty and efficiency of the distillation units at Alexandria Petroleum Company.
  • Reviewing the designs for the development and modernization of the indusuial drainage network shared ENPPI and Petrojet.
  • Reviewing basic and  detailed designs for Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemical Company and A lexandria Mineral Oils Company.
  • The Supervisory Committee responsible for accepting and receiving Middle East Oil Refinery (MlDOR) from Foster Whiller and the general contractor “Technip”‘.

Dr. Mohamed was appointed as the Chairman and CEO of MIDOR on December of 2013. MIDOR is the first deep conversion refinery in Africa and the sixth in the Middle East. Under Dr. Mohamed’sleadership, MIDOR has been slowly thriving and has witnessed organizational achievements as well advancements in its technological inventory). Dr.Mohamed has laid out a plan foran expansion project that will increase the capacity of MIDOR’s refinery from a hundred thousand barrels per day to a hundred and sixty thousand barrels, which should add to MIDOR’ s l ist of achievements and Dr. Mohamed’ s ever-growing reputation as an effective leader wilhin the petroleum sector. He has also managed to increase MIDOR ‘s  profit margins substantially which will aid in maximising the  production of premium quality,refined oil products.
